Aaron Carroll: We all take the Andy Clark view of consciousness. Consciousness is as consciousness does on some level. He says it would be conceivable that you're wrong in attributing consciousness to one of these systems. Carroll: I don't think there's anywhere to stand to make the claim that if you get all the behavior and all the counterfactual behavior, then that consciousness is lacking.
