Lenin's Views on the Split Between Trotsky and Stalin
In 1917, Lenin welcomes Trotsky into the party and gives him a lot of responsibilities. He also does work closely with Stalin, you know, because he helped make sure that Stalin is commissar of nationalities. But in the early 20s, one thing Lenin takes very seriously is this idea of nationalism for the Soviet Union. And I would argue that Trotsky is essentially picking up the Tom from that and kind of carrying it forward as time passes.
