Is There a Monolithic Culture?
i tend to think about culture is that it's like an imposed net of consciousness upon everyone in a society or civilization, right? The people on sentinel island probably have a pretty monolithic culture. And i think what karl just pointed to is kind of what the inkling i had in my head when you were talking, but ididn't know how to articulate it,. Too much individuality, a, too much a protestantism, whatever you want t it, and your church falls apart, right? I mean, i'd like to extend the analogy.
