The European Union remains the leading economic partner with 70% of total foreign direct investments and 81% of exports. Only 3% of people in Serbia recognize the fact that the European Union is Serbia's biggest economic partner, only 3% even the European Union invest much more money than China or Russia in Serbia and the Balkans. The problem here is a problem of perceptions. For example, during pandemic, the public pool in Serbia indicated that citizens of Serbia see Russia and China as the country's best friends. More than half do not support Serbia's European Union membership soon.
