There's a whole suite of tools out there, open-source or managed platforms. What are the key elements that you see as being useful to put into a rubric? My usual suggestion is start simple and start for the things you cannot do without. If your model stays on your laptop, there's no impact in the world. So you need to find a way for the model to be served.

Using machine learning in production requires a sophisticated set of cooperating technologies. A majority of resources that are available for understanding how to design and operate these platforms are focused on either simple examples that don’t scale, or over-engineered technologies designed for the massive scale of big tech companies.
