The Wombat in the Nellabor

The Southern Herrinos wombat used to be found all over the Nellabor. That's a desert that stretches across South Australia and over into Western Australia too. But then... Rabbits arrived. They hopped their way across the country and ate lots of the wombat's grass. People have been trying hard to get the rabbit numbers under control. And now, wombat's have been waddling back. Their burrows are linking up together through tunnels called Warrens. In fact, there are so many that they can be seen from satellites up in space.
