Do You Have a Behavior Chain?
Trainers often wait for the problematic behaviour to occur before they give that cue. The dog already knows how to sit, and we don't get any of the jumping behavior until we do it. I think what's different is there's less tis than putting the dog in an extinction trial. You're telling them you're not right? So it till that's how we could train that and help our dogs learn self-regulation.
