Heidegger is picking up on one of Eckhart's maxims. This is what Eckhart said. Live without why. Or you could also translate it as live without a why. Now that sounds to some people like, that sounds like a meaningless existence. But maybe the universe as a whole is like the rose. Maybe it's blooming from itself, grounding in itself,. blossoming, shining from itself while always, always with throng.
