I Think It's a Combination of Nihilism and Gratitude
I think a combination of those things, maybe like breaking out of nihilism, realizing that you have a choice, and finding joy again in the world. The experience of nature and being outside simply just generated this sort of reverential and grateful attitude, I suppose. So that, I guess, all lines up with this idea that if God has made each of us for a purpose and has made the creation good, then there's a sort of joy or freedom or gratitude or peace that might be found in this.
