Is There a Container for This Container?
The reason why the symbolic is always incomplete is because it does not contain itself. It's the container of all the rules and expectations about being a man about being a woman about being an American, all this shit. But it itself is not something that is contained in that container. Lacan has a brilliant answer: He says, it's a plastic bag. And I would just like to suggest that the human form,. the human body is also a bag, which is the fantasy and connection to the utero morphic. Yeah. That is a transmutation of the basic bag like structure of the human form into some magical life giving bag as though we are hats from which rabbits can be pulled
