Jane Adams - Is She a Democrat?
Jane adams was one of the most famous women in america, maybe second to helen keller. She made her name establishing a settlement house which ministered assisted the poor and the emigrants in chicago. As the war goes on she starts getting more and more back lash from the public. But that's what adams is trying to do throughout this period, is to get her message out. The American public will turn on her when she gets into more controversial issues such as foreign policy or pacifism.
