Is Feudalism a Synonym for Rural Backwardness?
The way in which feudalism is often used, particularly when it comes to kind of, you know, when it's spoken about in the global level, it's used as a synonym for rural backwardness. In the classical canon, it's understood as something which is very specifically restricted to Europe, essentially. So I think we can all sort of vaguely agree that there's something to, tomorrow's office account or some summary of economic logic from the Marxist point of view. What did you guys make of his sort of summary of non-Marxist approaches to feudalism?
