The Existential Question: Are There Reasonable Means to Help People With Mental Illness?

One of my concerns is from people that are struggling with mental illness, particularly loneliness or depression. Are there reasonable means being put into place as you're seeing some of these laws advanced that actually protect someone from simply killing themselves? We started out by talking about grave cases, about palliative care, but one of my deep concerns is that people will receive a kind of medical diagnosis. It's extremely common for cancer patients to suffer from various forms of depression while they fight their disease. So I think one opens a whole can of worms when one goes down the road of even starting with terminal illness because the next step is, well, why not the mentally ill-life suffering?
