The Names of the Men Whom Moses Sent to Spy Out the Land
Moses called Hoshia, the son of Nunn, Joshua. Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan. They went up into the Ngev Yonder and came to Hebron. The descendants of Anak were there. And they cut down from there a branch with a single cluster of grapes. That place was called the Valley of Ischol,. because of the cluster which the men of Israel cut down from it.
