Early-Making Boys Are More Talented Than the Early-Tuning Boys
Premier League academies show an over-representation of early maturing boys. By the time you get to 14, it's very rare to find any late developers in the system whatsoever. Early developers may be talented but physically they often struggle to compete. The downside for the late developer is that they're simply out of the system and their chances of getting back are incredibly small.
