When he first started learning Japanese, it was much more regimented. He would do like a lesson of lingo deer every single day. Do his onky and then immerse as much as he wanted. Now what he does is listen or read in the morning and then in the evening,. But it's definitely gotten easier because when I do intensive stuff or active immersion, it takes a lot less work. It also doesn't feel as productive.
