The Congregationalists and Presbyterianism in Wisconsin
In Wisconsin, Presbyterian churches could join in and be part of a convention. The congregationalists were viewed as different in their polity but not necessarily in doctrine. This was an effort to minister to the population with so many immigrants coming in. It very quickly broke down when Stephen Pete became the agent that controlled it.
