The Power of Imagination

The monastery environment for an older child is built around exploration through their imaginations. Montessori writes about that in a couple different places, you know, from childhood to adolescence. This imagination doesn't come out of nowhere for the six year old it's like coordination of movement, it's built. And we want to give the best opportunities and experiences and conditions possible for that power to be created.
