The Importance of Performance in Performance

We've come to expect the sort of spectacles with these Coachella headlining performances and I'm getting war flashbacks to our Rihanna half-tempo show conversation. It just felt like an artist who has been out of the public eye who is elusive, who is trying too hard to be mysterious. What makes it sting with someone like Frank Ocean is that under the right circumstances he can be a truly incredible transcendent live performer. That was an incredible performance and he's capable of being truly great even in that kind of setting.
