Should You Do a PhD?
To me, the most important thing I got from my PhD was domain knowledge of genomics. There's certainly like a level of masochism to getting a PhD, especially when you've already been in industry. You're looking for someone to make you do it. A PhD would be like, that's the thing. It's hard to solve a hard problem. And maybe we need our jobs or our education programs to make us do that.
