Cryptography and the Immutability of Records
Fernando: Stuart Haber and Scott Stornetta, two of your co-references in Satoshi White Paper. I wanted to get your take on the issue of immutability from a programmatic perspective. He said that this depends on "the seemingly magical properties of the cryptographic hash function" That's not known to be true; Hash functions have collisions but we don't know they're hard to find. Fernando: What about updating those hash functions in Bitcoin, if need be?
