When a state fights its political enemy in the name of humanity, it is not a war for the sake of humanity. In later works, Schmidt specifically identified this tendency as inherent liberalism because of its false pretense to moral superiority. Some argue there is an imperialist American motive related to the regime's desire to impose global homo involved in the Russo-Ukrainian War.
