Orson Wells wrote this huge long memo to the studio saying here's what you should do if you want to make this a good movie. They ignored it but then in the 90s they actually went back and re-edited the film to his specifications. I think those kind of heroic works are always like my favorite where it could be done but it just needs like a lot of willpower and time.
