The Importance of Private Confession Absolution
When Jesus says you're forgiven well we probably should believe them because he's done all the work for it. When I do private confession absolution with prisoners oftentimes will come into my office and usually I'm fishing for what sin has tied them up either sin that they have committed or sin that has been conducted against them. We want to clean that conscience up so anything that's on their conscience that doesn't belong there we need to get it off say nope nope you didn't commit that sin that was done against you but that which the conscience is grieved by that sin then we grab hold of it metaphorically obviously.
