Is God Hardening Pharaoh's Heart?

I see here this idea of God hardening Pharaoh's heart as simply an indication that Pharaoh and the gods of Egypt by extension are always plaything. Hey, Pharaoh, you had trouble knowing who I was earlier. Do you know me now? Who's your daddy? The bottom line is really this. It's menolatry. Israel's God alone is worthy of worship. The other gods about comparison are ridiculous.
