Edwards' Preaching Theory

Edwards' view of the intrinsic dignity of human nature is awe-inspiring, says John. He sees much more reasonable an autopsy of human existence than that of his politic contemporaries such as Benjamin Franklin. We must not allow our own God-given uniqueness to be swatted up by other men simply because they are superior to us and we must not spoil their unique contribution to God's church.
