Geiger: The Paris Accord was symbolic in that it only had the ability to influence a relatively small fraction of the total carbon emission scenario. He says current leaders are not incentivized to solve this global warming problem because if they can just kick the can down the road someone else will deal with it, he adds. "It's an additive process that cannot be reversed quickly"
