The argument from design in nature is really fundamental to the belief in a deity. It is implied in every argument in favor of theism. To ordinary men and women it is still the decisive piece of evidence and favor the existence of a god. If we cannot implant a belief in god before the child is old enough to understand, then the belief may have to be given up altogether. Keep the idea of god away from the child and it will grow up an atheist. We are concerned with whether nature in whole or in part shows any evidence of design. I do not say that the argument from design as stated fails to convince but that it is impossible to produce any kind of evidence that would persuade
