Danny: I think it's really tricky though, especially at base camp, where there's such a premium placed on being a manager of one. At your old job, you get into these quasi philosophical conversations with like, why are we doing this? And you would feel like everything was a big waste of time. But when those conversations are done properly, then you feel like you're actually getting to the root of something important. It can be tempting to display your knowledge or critical thinking skills, but i find it useful to stop and ask myself what am i trying to show that i've thought about more than the other person?
