Higgs and Inflation
There's a huge difference between the Higgs and inflation. The Higgs mechanism is explaining a wealth of complex processes, okay, involving particle physics. Inflation isn't really a theory it's a collection of models. And so then you're forced to say, well, why do I favor one inflation model over another? You know there's some notion of what simpler, but the simpler models are now wrong. So that encourages me to believe that there might be a much simpler explanation which explains the flatness of the universe on large scales using just gravity, quantum mechanics and thermodynamics. We'll talk more about this later in the show.
