The Vapor Canopy Model
The atmosphere is relatively transparent to the visible light. Its also transparent in the micro wave range, but in the infere is relatively opaque. And so if you throw water vapor in, it has very strong locations where it absorbs light. So i think eventually bardeman said, if you're going to have a significant amount of water in the atmosphere, you actually have to dim the sun down. Instead of the sun putting out as much sunlight as it does currently, you would scale it back considerably. But the question is, do we have a rational reason for this?
