The Challenges of Running a Non Profit Business

Meedup was essentially kind of run like a non profit. The company attracted people who very much had a profit at some points, anti revenue type mentality. They didn't really appreciate that in order to be a sustainable and growing business, the keyas you need to have revenue and profit for it sold. Those are te two allenges, the revenue model and kind of the culture around business. And we also have a b to b business where companies like goga and a w s and and word press sponsor and support meet up groups. That's a very fast growing area within meat ups. We do charge organizers, not a tremendous amount, but relatively small fee for the value that's
