The History of Lucy's Murder
Lucy's father was buried next to his daughter in a North London cemetery. While he was alive, George was determined that the case would never be forgotten. The investigation remained firmly open and more than 1,000 witness statements were taken. In 2013, Detective Inspector Judy Willitz took responsibility for the case. Since 2001, there have been numerous articles written about the investigation. Detectives travelled as far as Cyprus and even Australia to follow up on information received in their quest to catch the killer. Scotland Yard made another huge appeal in 2001 when they increased the reward to £10,000.
