I suck at asking questions when I go on interviews. And that's the thing. I should have picked up on the red flats and it made it much easier having gone through the part that wasn't great to go into the next company. When I said I saw the space and it was open and I said this might be a challenge for me. Is it okay if I have noise canceling headphones? And they were like yeah of course. They said yeah of course we have people who work all over the country on different time zones. So you tell us what works for you. That approach told me everything I needed to know about the flexibility and their support that I was going to get.
