Introduction

Causality is one of the questions that philosophers do not have a monopoly on. There are many issues in the philosophy of causation, only some of which are relevant in this session. We'll be examining the difference between the Aristotelian-Tomas view and the Humian view. The classic doctrine of the four causes will also be discussed. And finally, the difference between a causal explanation and an ultimate causal explanation.
