In the sixth grade in Brooklyn, students were seated in order of their IQ. Students with the highest IQ had the honor of erasing the blackboard or taking a note to the principal's office. "Something smelled a little fishy to Carol," says author James Cerrello and his son Daniel Coyle. They wanted people to be able to use Professor Dweck's work to make their lives better.
