Introduction
A number of people have pointed out to me that in the various video lectures ihave made over the past four or five years, i have only touched on ronald fairbairna rather briefly and in passing. I think the main answer is not that i dvalue his thought, but a, first his model of the mind is quite complex. And secondly, back in the nineties, mid to late nineties, i published an essay, which, actually it was a review essay, a review of grostein and rinsley's book called fairbairn and the origins of object relations.
