Ajanta Is a Buddhist Tourist Destination.
I've been going to India for many years since 1985, indeed, and spending six months there. But I've always been too busy really to do Buddhist tourism. This time, for various reasons, my duties took me to places where I could do easily a bit of Buddhist tourism. I went to Ajanta and I very strongly recommend that anybody going to India makes a beeline for Ajanta. You probably know these are rock-cut caves which began being created very early on in the first or second century before the Common Era. What you see when you go there is caves of astonishing beauty. They are remarkable architectural feats because they're cut into the bare rock."
