What Do You Think the Founding Fathers Would Do?
Epicurus was actually pretty ascetic in his over all approach, because he thought that the pursuit of happiness gives rise to a fairly moderate approach to most things. He's completely misrepresented at that sort of personal level in herds o personal ethics. The modern world, and our american success, was not founded on an act of faith. It was founded by thinking about the world and using their power of understanding to change it.
