I Just Got a New Car
When you say something like, I just got a new car, that's the claim. The fact that you said it is not evidence for that claim. That claim can be accepted rationally, reasonably. Just because a statement is consistent with reality, that doesn't mean the statement is true. It gives us good reasons to think the statement is not false, but no reason to think it's true.
