Sasha: My parents' professional life inform my career ambitions. I think Astoria was very racially polarized, right? There were like white people and black people living together where I grew up in Astoria. So the only way to really connect with other people is for me is hip hop related things over a feeling. Being a practitioner and being involved or understanding these cultures has always been very germane to my evolution.
