The last time the government took on a big vertical case was when in the last administration tried to stop AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner, and the government lost. And it's really hard to project into the future, whether there will be competition loss. When Facebook bought Instagram for a billion dollars, it seemed like a crazy price to pay for a photo sharing app with filters who cared. But now maybe one of the two biggest engines at Facebook. It's supposedly one of their futures.
