Developing the Knee Shield at Lehiva
Knee shield position is like a variant of half guard you've got one of their legs trapped but your top legs and knee shield which keeps the the upper body away. If they start to get controls just go back to these frames take the knee shield and then you only enter the half guard on your terms. You should probably spend five or six hours working the preventative position such as the knee shield so you don't get there that's what i think the more you can bring your defenses forward it's better, he says.
