The Columbia Spacecraft's Last Mission

On flight day three, the spartan haley mission was deployed. The goal for today was to record a number of short films for use in a classroom setting after the mission. One experiment that caught my eye was a demonstration of magnetic field lines in three d i think we've all seen what happens when you lie a bar magnet down on a piece of paper and sprinkle some iron shave s around it. But if i understand correctly, mc aulaff stepped it up a notch using a transparent container with a bar magnet at the centre and some free floating iron shavings inside the container. Just be careful not to let the ironShavings out of the box.
