South Coronavirus Mutation Sequencing

The traditional way of sequencing south coronavirus is to sequence the entire genome. Instead we sequenced an area called a receptive binding domain and that what fantastic we had great results with that. We started seeing mutations appearing in virus obtained from wastewater that were not appearing in clinical sequences so for a long time for over a year we were scratching our head wondering where these things were coming from. Some of these new cryptic variants could eventually emerge become the next big covid wave.
