Hannibal and the Romans in Turin
Hannibal has no interest in doing battle in gaul. He doesn't want to waste his energy fighting the romans in turain. His strategy is very clear, that he wants to detach the romans from their allies and defeat them in italy. Hannibal probably isn't in a position to stay anywhere very long at this stage. You kow his supplies will have been running out. It's about half the size it was when he set out. And we're not sure whether people have simply deserted or just broken down.
