Many of these omakase places had been her suggestion, the woman said. The man hadn't had omakase like this in years, and they went to some of the best places in the city. In Japanese, omakase means, I leave it up to you. There was one more thing. She had paid. Not always, but most of the time, especially at the more expensive places. And it made sense for her to pay because she earned more.
