I was mortified and embarrassed that I was so proud of this thing because he was a humerying me. The mere exposure effect is a psychological phenomenon by which people tend to develop a preference for things merely because they're familiar with them. But on a deeper level, how much of who I am is based on things that I thought happened that didn't or did happen that I thought didn't or whatever. It's just yes and that will replay in the middle of the night just like... I just saw it. That is so exotic.
