Is There a Difference Between Primed and Old Lenses?

When i was shooting documentaries, i used to shoot on a 16 miaso. But then when i started doing drama, i moved to shooting on prime lenses. I want to use the lens that most reflects what i see with my eye. And i think my visionis quat sharp. If i want to destroy the image or create a vene, i'll do it as a particular effect with a particular lens. On jesse james, had them take some lenses and take some of the elements out, so it would vinett along the edges. It's the only time we've really done something crazy with the lens. Yes, pretty well.
