A job to be done is a goal a customer needs to achieve, and that's simply it. The beauty is that a goal is independent of any products. No one wants eye pods or casettes or cdes - they're all looking to create a mood with music. So no matter what the market is, your customer has a goal that is stable and independent of any product.
